About the Book

The church has spent a generation asking men to be nice. It got what it asked for, and it’s dying of it.

King’s Men is about the other option: men who are genuinely dangerous, aimed at the right target, and loyal to a King who never asked them to be harmless. Men you’d want next to you when it goes bad. Men who show up.

It’s a book about devotion with teeth in it.

Why I Wrote It

I kept meeting men who’d been told their whole lives that their strength was the problem. So they buried it, and it came out sideways, and everybody got hurt anyway.

Your strength isn’t the problem. Aimless strength is the problem. Strength pointed at yourself is the problem.

I wrote this to point it somewhere worth pointing it.

Before you read

A Prayer

King, I’m done being harmless. Take everything in me that’s dangerous and aim it at what you’re after. I’m yours. Amen.
