Guided Prayer

The knee in the dirt
at sunrise

No account. No timer. No one watching.

Four movements. One prompt at a time.

Take it slow. God isn’t in a hurry.

Pray along

Written Prayers

When you don’t have the words, borrow mine. Read them out loud. Make them yours.

Before Work

In the truck, engine off

Lord, it’s me. Before this day starts swinging, I’m stopping here.

You know what I’m walking into. You know what I’m afraid of. Give me a steady hand and a clean mouth. Let me be the man my family needs when I walk back through that door tonight.

The battle begins on my knees. Even behind this wheel. Amen.

After You Blew It. Again.

For the ashamed

Father, I did it again. You watched me do it. I’m not going to pretend, and I’m not going to hide for three weeks first.

You were not ashamed of my worst day. So here I am on it. Forgive me. Get me up. Put my feet back on the wall.

I’m not done, because You’re not done with me. Amen.

Over a Sleeping House

The night watch

Lord, they’re asleep and I’m still up. So this one’s the watch.

Guard my wife. Guard my kids. Guard this house from everything I can see coming and everything I can’t. Make me the kind of man worth waking up to.

I’ll stand this post as long as You give it to me. Amen.

Need one for something specific? Write me and I’ll pray with you.
