About the Book
There’s no discharge paperwork in this outfit. No age where the watch stops mattering.
This is a book about the last stretch: about men who got faithful early and stayed faithful long, and about what it takes to still be standing when it would be easier and entirely understandable to sit down.
Finishing is its own skill. Almost nobody teaches it. This is an attempt.
Why I Wrote It
I’ve watched good men quit at sixty after doing it right for forty years, and it broke something in me.
I don’t want that ending. I don’t want it for you either.
So I went looking for what actually keeps a man at his post to the end, and I wrote down what I found.
